Serving Our Community

Oak Hills partners with organizations in Rochester and surrounding communities. In doing so we seek to live out our belief that being a wholly devoted follower of Jesus Christ means serving others.
Here are just some of the ministies we serve:
Dorothy Day House
The Dorothy Day Hospitality House provides short-term, live-in situation for people who are homeless or in a personal crisis and need shelter and food.
On the 5th Monday a team cooks a meal for the Dorothy Day House.
Volunteer on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. Click the link above for more information.
In addition to financial support as part of our regular mission budget, volunteers serve where needed.
Volunteers ring bells at Christmas and help at the thrift store. Additionally, during our Christmas Eve service, we take an offering to support the benevelolence ministry of Oak Hills in the coming year. 10% of whatever is given in that offering is given to our local Salvation Army.
CareFest provides a great opportunity for the local body of Christ to minister to our community, demonstrating Jesus’ love in tangible and meaningful ways. Our desire is to serve individuals in need and community-enhancing organizations like the schools, parks, and other people-helping non-profits.
